A Stafford soldier has spoken about his experiences of working alongside the Afghan National Army. Annette Belcher reports for icStafford.
Sapper Liam Nicholson, 22, from Stafford, has been working alongside the Afghan National Army engineers since he arrived with 28 Engineer Regiment as part of 11 Light Brigade in September 2009. Liam said: "Working closely with the Afghan National Army is an interesting experience. We found them to be very friendly and highly professional in their work. It has allowed us to learn more about their culture and instilled us with great confidence for the future of Afghanistan."
