Jockeys from the Armed Forces took part in the Grand Military Gold Cup Day at Sandown Park racecourse on Friday 8 March. The meeting first took place in 1841 and features some of the country's finest amateur jockeys. This year's winner of the Gold Cup was Lance Bombardier Jody Sole, from the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, on Merrion Square.
